Within a half mile radius of the Vienna Orange Line are several condo, townhome and single family communities, and not all are in Vienna.
The two predominate condos buildings directly across from the Metro Station are the Acadia at the Metro and the Marquis at the Metro. The Acadia was built in 2003 and has 167 one and two bedroom units with 674 to 1207 sq ft. Similarly, The Marquis, also built in 2003, contains 327 one and two bedroom units ranging from 670 to 1350 square feet. Both properties have garage parking and the buildings share the community amenities: swimming pool, community center, basketball court. The schools serving this area are Marshall Road Elementary, Thoreau Middle School and James Madison High School. Hunters Branch is a community of 96 condominium units in garden-style buildings, and 54 townhomes located near the Carmel Apartments. (see below).
You can also walk to the Vienna Metro from the Vienna Metro II community of 2 car garage townhomes.
There are a couple of apartment buildings within walking distance to the metro station. The closest is a relatively new complex called The Carmel. It opened in 2008 and has 1 and 2 bedrooms. Rents range from about $1770 to $2170. Amenities include billiards, business center, club house, concierge, cyber cafe, elevator, fitness center, game room, bar, lounge, garage, library, media center/movie theatre, pet friendly, standard cable and sundeck. It consists of 1, 2, and 3 plus bedrooms in high rise and garden style buildings. All the familiar amenities are here. Many units have been recently renovated.
And for those 55+ who want to live near the metro, check out The Saintsbury Condominiums on Saintsbury Drive which leads directly to the South side of the metro station.
