|Want to decrease your commute time? Why not live near the Vienna Metro Station? There are lots of opportunities depending on your particular needs. Not only are resale homes for sale, but there are new construction communities nearby that are not always listed in the multiple listing service. Stanley Martin Homes has started construction of luxury townhomes in Oakton about 1.5 miles from the Vienna Metro. If you are interested in this location, give me a call. Remember, the sales consultant represents the builder. You need your own representation (and it costs you nothing!). You can also search for resale homes near the metro. Happy house hunting!|
This past weekend, Wells Fargo gave away $20,000 to qualified buyers of homes in Washington, DC and Prince Georges County. As of this date, all the available funds have been reserved. It could be that after 60 days some of the money will be back up for grabs. Time will tell.
Did you know about this opportunity? Did your agent tell you? I have a client who I told about the program. I found out she was eligible and sent her to the Convention Center about 8:45 am on Friday and ahe left at 3:30 pm. She was well prepared and received a letter reserving the funds for 60 days. It wasn’t easy, but with perserverance, she received her letter. On the other hand, I heard about another agent’s client who said she had to work on Friday and could not attend the event on Saturday because she had to attend a funeral. Well we all have our priorities I guess!
Would you wait 7 hours to receive $20,000?
Be prepared the next time you hear about such an offer! If your agent didn’t tell you about this opportunity, perhaps you should interview another agent!
I was in Mexico last week, but I understand there was a realtor luncheon at the brand new mixed-use neighborhood at the site of the old Merrifield Cinema (I spent many an afternoon and evening there over the years, ah but I digress). EYA is building 112 new townhomes there featuring three and four bedroom plans, garage parking and rooftop terraces. Three models are being sold with delivery as early as the summer of 2012.
If these homes are anything like those they are selling in Washington, DC, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I’ve visited EYA’s community at Chancellor’s Row a few times and I found the models and layouts well thought out and convenient for younger singles and couples. . . . there are a lot of stairs!
Of course, the Mosaic District (as it is called) will have restaurants, boutique retail stores, a theater and more for all the new residents and those of us who live nearby. If you are interested in seeing these new townhomes, why not give me a call? Remember that the sales representatives are working for the builder. You need your own representation. It costs you nothing and it could save you a bundle! firstname.lastname@example.org or 703 679-8741.
